What Is The Prognosis For Stage Four Breast Cancer Patient?
I am taking care of an 83 year old women with stage four breast cancer. She is currently in the hospital with diverticulitis, altered mental state, high blood pressure, and she can only answer in yes and no. Is this something that we can consider treatment options or is this her final days?

Its difficult to answer for a life span and prognosis of the patient with out seeing the patient and going through the medical reports and examine.
only thing you can do ask treating doctor if he is giving paliative ( terminal stage symptomatic treatment) then what you said could be right.
