General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, there are many reasons for the accumulation of fluid in the chest chamber (lung in your case). The common causes fall into two vast categories such as
- Infection or inflammation (tuberculosis or else)
- Malignancy

The investigations of:
- Complete hemogram
- Pleural fluid analysis for malignant cells
- Culture of pleural fluid for sensitivity
- HRCT thorax
- X-ray chest

If any of the reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up period so that better discussion can be figured out.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
