What Is The Prognosis Of An Alzheimer's Patient On Morphine And IV Drip?

My grannie is 93 and has Alziemiers she recently has had some complications with her liver and gallbladder. She is on morphine and a iv drip! She is eating a little but apparentley this is not keeping her alive the iv drip is...She is happy, mixed up of course but to me not ready to die! My mom is talking about removing the drip as this is all that is keeping here alive...She reads, sings tell stories asks question and to me this doesn't seem like the thing to do at this time...Am I wrong in wanting to keep the drip in? How long would she stay alive without it?
