hi, my husband just got diagnosed with a 5 cm tumor on his left side near the top of his head...the doctor said it cannot be removed because it isolated near his speech center...biosphy done today...radiation and chemo will have to be done to shrink ..what is his survival rate ..thank you very much ..sie

Treatment and survival rates may depend on the type of tumor and stage of the tumor and age of the patient, organs involved etcetera. Here below is the common brain tumors and 5year survival rates.
a. Is the five-year survival rates in the 20-44 year age group?
b. Belongs to the five-year survival rate in the 45-54 age group.
c. Belongs to five-year survival rates in the 55-64 year age group. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma have a very poor survival rate. Ependymoma and meningioma have good five-year survival rates.
Low-grade (diffuse) astrocytoma
