What Is The Prognosis Of Ovarian Cancer?

My 48 yr old daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer one month ago. She is otherwise in good health. She has had 2rounds of the standard chemotherapy so far. Surgery and more chemo to come. I am in total despair. Is there any research for new treatment options. Is there any hope for a longer survival that 2-3 years.?
