What Is The Proper Method Of Taking Birth Control Pills?

So i started my first ever packet on friday ((where the blue area is) and as i followed the arrows, i got my period during the sugar pills, im currently on my last sugar pill but i still have 6 active pills left (in the blue area) and now im confused at to whether i should continue to follow the arrows on my first packet and finish the 6 left over pills that marks from saturday to thursday and start my new packet afterwards on friday again or do i just skip the 6 pills in my old packet and start a new packet tomorrow (where it marks saturday) since i already finished my sugar pills?

Hello,

You can skip the 6 active pills from the old packet and start a new packet.
That would be best to avoid confusion.

Hope this answers your question
