What Is The Purpose For Prescribing Tenkorex Capsules During Pregnancy?

Hi i am 6month and 2 weeks pregnant I went to see my midwife the other day and done a urine sample and she said she had to send the sample of becoz had a bit of protein init and she said I mite have an infection so she said ring bk for the result and I did today and she prescribed me tenkorex capsules. 250mg and to take them 4 times a day why would I have to take these and what infection could it be and how did I get this infection could I get this sort of infection from my partner and how could he have got it if it was from him

hi,what you are referring to is urinary tract infection.women are more prone to this than men because of closer proximity of urethra to the anus and the chances are further increased in pregnancy.its unlikely to acquire it from your partner.it occurs due to usage of public toilets,wiping from back forwards,etc.its nothing to worry.tenkorex is basically cephalexin which is a mild antibiotic and absolutely safe in pregnancy and take care of this infection.you must in addition to this drink lots of water and have cranberry juice for additional benefit.
