What Is The Purpose Of Prescribing Zitotec?

Hi doctor can u please answer me why exactly this zitotec tablet is used..for abortion or to get periods...cause i participated intercourse and took ipill on the same day..but today is my period date.but i didn t get ..so tell me shall take zitotec tablet or do u want me to wait for few more. Days...i am very tensed

Hi,

Zitotec is used to terminate pregnancy under the supervision of a gynecologist. Since you have taken ipill on the same day of having an unprotected sex pregnancy seems to be unlikely.

The delayed period could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by the ipill. Wait for a couple of days if period does not start then get the home pregnancy test done and consult a gynecologist.

Remember it is quite dangerous to make an attempt to abort without consulting a gynecologist.
