What Is The Purpose Of Taking Topamax?
What is the purpose of taking Topamax? My girlfriend asked me to look up Topamax for her as she
does not have a computer so I said o.k. Her doctor told her to take this however she does not know
what effect it will have on her and is afraid to take the pill. She drinks 2 glasses of wine daily.
Other than that I think she feels she might go into a seizure if she takes this pilldd. I will be more
than happy to give her any of your information and will also I will pay your $15.00 bill.

I can understand your concern. Topomax is Topiramate and the drug is an anti seizure drug. It is also used in a number of other conditions like in severe migrainous headache, as mood stabiliser in bipolar disorders, as anticraving agent in individuals taking Alcohol etc. The drug has a lot of other used like some times the drug is also used in weight loss in individuals who gain weight while on antidepressants.
The drug is a safe drug and is not associated with serious side effects. Sedation, dizziness, nausea etc are common side effects in normal doses. Why she has been prescribed the drug depends upon her clinical condition. Please mention any symptoms she is having so that we can help you better.
