What Is The Purpose Of This Medication?

my wife LMP date 28/10/12 and now 51 days, we went to doctor yesterday and taken urinal test. The result was negative. then doctor suggested to take Duphaston tablet for 2 per day for total three days.

It will help to maintain pregenency or it will lead to menses.Pls clarify

if ur test is negative then u r not pregnant.but if u r very hopeful about ur pregnancy then u may go for serum B- HCG test.,or a scan that will tell whether u r pregnant or not ,then take the medicine accordingly
