What Is The Radiating Pain In My Upper Thigh?

Hello. I have been having throbbing pain in the back of my left upper thigh. I had surgery over a month ago and it was hurting before that. I am just concerned because it will not go away and I am noticing it more and more often. It radiates out, but not with too much intensity. Any ideas as to what this might be?
