What Is The Reason For Continuous Vomiting And Diarrhea After Having Alcohol?
The past 2 times i have been out and drinking, i have come home about 1.00 am and then both times at about 5am i have woken up with continuous vomiting and diarrhea until about 9am/10am, I have usually been fine with alcohol and this has only just come about in the past month,
It appears that alcohol is causing gastritis which is responsible for your bouts of nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Alcohol irritates the lining of the gastro-intestinal tract, which when damaged significantly, results in such symptoms. Drinking on an empty stomach or taking spicy and oily foods with alcohol can aggravate this problem. Acid production inhibiting medicines like ranitidine, omeprazole etc will help.
Best wishes.
