What Is The Reason For Having Discomfort In The Throat?

I have a clicking/popping/grinding feeling in the back of my throat when I swallow. It doesn t happen all the time, but when my head is at a certain position, such as when it s bent down toward my chest. The popping and clicking feeling usually happens when I swallow spit and not typically when I swallow food or liquids. From the research I ve done online it could be linked to GERD or the thyroid rubbing against tissue and vertebrate. I wanted to know what could I do to stop my throat from having that clicking and popping feeling when I swallow.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, you are overthinking your problems, don't do it. Take Tablet Pantoprazole, 1 tab before breakfast for 1 month.

Drink plenty of fluids and avoid spicy food. Consult an ENT surgeon, he should do a fiberoptic laryngoscopy to confirm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
