What Is The Reason For Having Headache After Change In Weather?

i suffer from bad head aches (migranes?) when there is a change in the air pressure related to weather changes. they are always on the right hand side and last up to a couple of days. all I want to do is sleep and they leave me tired when they have gone. I've had my eyes tested and there is no change

Hello,
Yes. Whether changes can trigger your headache if you are a migraine patient.
This is because weather changes may cause imbalances in brain chemicals, including serotonin, which can prompt a migraine.
If you feel your headaches are triggered by weather, you may be understandably frustrated.
After all, you can't change the weather.
However, you can learn which weather changes start a migraine and take steps to lessen their effects:

1. Keep a headache diary, listing each headache, when it happened, how long it lasted and what could have caused it.
This can help you determine if you have specific weather triggers.
2. Monitor weather changes and avoid triggers if at all possible. For example, stay indoors during very cold or windy weather if these factors appear to trigger your headaches.
3. Take your headache medication at the first sign of a headache.
4. Make healthy lifestyle choices — eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, get enough sleep and keep your stress under control.

These factors can help reduce the number and severity of your headaches.

Hope this helps.
