What Is The Reason For Sinus Congestion With Productive Grey Cough And Airway Expiratory Wheeze?

My husband is a 41 yr old male, smoker, current sinus congestion with productive grey cough, airway expiratory wheeze, no shortness of breath, cough keeps waking him up at night and with deep inspiration
Not smoking right now
No relief from OTC cough syrup

Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having chronic bronchitis or astigmatic bronchitis.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 7 days to clear any infective focus.
Take some bronchodilator medicine for easy breathing.
Quit smoking for ever.
Ask to do deep breathing exercises with spirometer.
Ok and take care.
