What Is The Reason For Sudden Abnormal Heart Beat?

The past 2 week my heart has just give one hard beat then goes normal again. then again another hard beat. When the hard beat comes it makes my chest feel strange for a split second. The best way to describe it is as though even though it did a beat hard it also felt like it stopped if that makes sense to you. Sometimes it even hurts. If i am sleeping it does it and it wakes me up and i can feel it.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to get an ECG to take a look at the heart.

An ECG would be able to assess the rate and rhythm of the heart and determine the type of arrhythmia (Abnormal heart beat) present.

If this is normal and you are still having problems then a holter (24 hour ECG) can be done.

I hope this helps
