What Is The Reason For The Scab On The Nose?

Hi doctors. In my nose i have had this scab for five years now and i can remember how i got by picking it and letting it bleed all the time because i felt as if something was there and sort of a itching feeling. Later on a scab formed and i picked it and ever since it kept appearing. What is this? Please tell me. Thank doctors!

Hi,
from history it seems that you might be having chronic rhinitis producing nasal discharge forming crusts and congestion in nasal cavity.
Do not try to remove crust with fingers as this may give bleeding from the nose.
Put some decongestant nasal drops like Otrivinn.
Take decongestant tablet for few days.
Rule out possibility of having Daviated Nasal Septum and nasal polyp after consulting ENT specialist.
