What Is The Recovery Time For Bilateral Iliac Stent Surgery?
Hi, on 4/21/2015 I had bilateral iliac stent as well as right stent to top of common femoral, I have some swelling to right ankle, as still very sore, very badly brusied in thigh and stomach area, is the ankle normal, and how long should recovery take. Thank You
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Well, recovery is usually 3-4 weeks and it means that after it you ll be able to do your normal daily activities. This swelling in ankles is also expected for some time but it should not be painful and should not progress. Swelling is normal if there is no redness, fever or pus secretion. in this case, you should see doctor and do tests to rule out wound infection or stent obstruction. EVerything else is normal healing process and you just need to be patient till it subsides.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
