What Is The Recovery Time For Cervical Pain?

i am 64 yr. old female - active until recently - had MRI done on cervical spine ----- showed 3 extrusions - c-4 - c-5 - and c-6 --- saw nerurologist who said i needed surgery ---- went to surgeon for 2nd opinion - he said no - not bad enough for surgery and didn't think that injection was way to go - suggested physical therapy - 2x wk. for 4-6 wks. - initially i was in alot of pain - seems to be abating ---go to therapist next wk. - what is general course of treatment with therapist - my surgeon says it is cervicalgia - neck pain - thanks for pain - jill
