What Is The Recovery Time For Fibula Fracture?

I was diagnosed with a spiral fracture of the Fibula just above the ankle bone 3 days ago and went to the Ortho doctor yesterday. he put me in a fracture boot and told me to walk on it as tolerated. Should I be keeping all weight off it this soon and what is typical healing time for the injusy?
