What Is The Recovery Time Post An Epiglottis Removal Surgery?
I had my epiglottis removed on Aug 21, it was cancerous. will I eat normal again? so far just soft foods. I have check ups every 3 months, but no PET scan since Nov.. PET scan showed No cancer anywhere else. Dr feels that there is no need for future scans. They did remove 64 lymph nodes and only one was cancerous. Is that normal procedure. Please advise. YYYY@YYYY

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If no activity of malignancy then nothing to worry but feeding may depends upon how you acclimatise after epiglottitis removal surgery. Some people may need tube feeding, some may need epiglottisreconstructive surgery or some may acclimatise to it during swallowing. Please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat with appropriate medication for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
