What Is The Red, Hard Bump In My Ear?

I have a bump inside my ear (on the bottom) that is blood red, hard & swollen. It hurts to touch it, but when I pick at it puss & blood come out. It s been here for a few weeks. I had one diagnosed earlier in the year as a pimple, but that one was white. I also had an allergic reaction to earring BEHIND my ear a few months back. I no longer wear earrings more than once a week.

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a foruncle in the ear which is an infection of the hair follicle.

I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain.

I also suggest to treat the area whither antibiotic ear drops.

If the symptoms continue,I suggest taking oral antibiotics such as Augmentin to treat the infection.
