What Is The Remedy For Chest Pain?

Hi . I have been having a constant sharp pain on the upper left side of chest for some time now. I have been pushing it aside because I am scared and only 19 years old. That being said I would still appreciate if someone could tell me what this could mean for me.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
Your problem is most likely costochondritis of ribs.Pain while palpation in the area is characteristic. But anyhow it is better to have an ECG and Chest X ray to rule out the problems of heart and lungs to be on safe side. For my patients with costochondritis i treat with anti inflammatory gels of diclofenac or nimusulide for local application. For some patient i give the tablet form of same drugs for oral intake also.Hope this may help you
Let me know if you have any further query.
