What Is The Remedy For Dizziness With Nausea After Epely Maneuver?
HI, I had the epley maneuver done yesterday. I was well all day, but today is terrible. I feel dizzy, nauseous, and have a light permanent headache. Is is normal ? While before, I was perfectly well except I had vertigo when I stood up from my bed.
Epley Maneuver is directed towards management of BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) However, it may induce a sensation of nausea. Though the sensation subsides on its own, symptomatic relief can be obtained by taking anti-emetics, limitation of head movements & maintenance of certain postures as advised by your Doctor.
If symptoms still persist, it may indicate failure of the maneuver & it has to be repeated again. Under such circumstances, it will be better to consult an ENT specialist for further management.
Wishing you a Good Health. Take care.
