What Is The Remedy For Folliculitis When On Doxycycline?
i am taking doxycycline 100mg capsules 20 of them for my folliculitis, I red bumps are drying up on my legs, I still itch somewhat but not as bad. I still have 4 more days of this anti-biotic left to take. I was wondering if you could tell me how long it will take for my legs to clear up?

Hi,
The time of recovery will depend on the severity of the infection. if the red bumps are drying up, then, it will take few more days for complete recovery.
Although you have still 4 more days of this antibiotic left to take, I suggest to consult with your doctor once you finish this course of antibiotic as you might need to take another course until complete recovery.
I also advise to get the bumps well cleaned and locally treated with 10% iodine solution and antibiotic cream (if your doctor prescribed it too).
