What Is The Remedy For Hives When On Synthroid?

I have been taking synthroid for about 10 years with no allergic reactions and after getting a refill on it I suddenly broke out with hives, severe itchy skin, and random swelling of face, lips, hands and feet. My question: Could I suddenly be allergic to it? Did I get a bad batch of pills? Any info will be helpful.. Thanks!

Hello & Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through the case and found that there are a lot of causes of sudden development of hives.

1- Environmental ( Sun exposure, dust, bathing or washing soap, any body cream)

2- Dietary ( Milk, curd, sour food, fish, vegetable).

3- Medicine ( any particular chemical like sulfa drugs)

4- Lenin like nylon, polyester, woolen feather.

so please find out the cause of hives.

Meanwhile take any anti allergic medicine for relief.
