What Is The Remedy For Postmartal Psychosis After The Delivery?

Hi.. My wife developed Postmartal psychosis after the delivery of our first child 3 years. She got treated with 3 sessions of ECT and after 15 days she felt better and normal.

When our child turned 2 years, again my wife developed symptoms like not remembering her dead grand parents, started speaking irrelevant talks like she is a goddess, braking down quite often, feeling of guilt, not trusting etc. We showed her to Psychiatrist and they had suggested to take Diamin plus, Sizoden. After 15 days she recovered well and we stopped taking the medicine after 60 days as they were only adding more sleep to her. She also realised what happened and was ready to forget and move on.

Exactly after an year, again my wife started showing the symptoms like suspecting like why people who interact with her give more respect, started to remember her past schooling, college life, remembering her grand parents etc... We went to the doctor and they had give her oleanz 5 mg per day.

Not sure what sort of psychological disorder she is having. Can any one help me understand better?

I really appreciate your concern, this seems a schizophrenia, in such case patient needs long term treatment, and for this the good psychiatrist should be there, you have to be patience, with the proper treatment every thing would be fine, all you have to do is consult the competent psychiatrist, hope this information helps you, take good care of her, have nice day.
