What Is The Remedy For Stuffy Nose And The Pain In The Throat?

My 8 years old child got stuffy nose but not short breath and he complain for pain in his throat ,doctor gave him inhaler thinking it could be asthma to try it for week , I scard what if he get used to with inhaler can you please advise what can I do ?

Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having rhinitis giving rise this problem.
Give him some decongestant syrup 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days.
Put pediatric decongestant nasal drops like Otrivin.
Ok and take care.
