What Is The Remedy For The Elongated Uvula?

My uvula has been elongated for five weeks. I don t smoke, rarely drink alcohol, have gargled salt water, tried honey, I don t snore and I m not dehydrated. My ENT has me on antibiotics. I just started the second round of a ten day prescription. Plus she prescribed Mucinex D. Nothing is working and it s driving me crazy. What else could it be?

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
If the uvula has increased in size from the previous size it suggests that there is swelling and edema and the most common cause is the infection. It would be wise to get a culture and sensitivity of the throat swab taken to identify the exact antibiotic to take care of you.
Further some anti inflamatory drigs like paracetamol or ibuprofen will also reduce the irritation.
