What Is The Remedy For The Pain And Swelling In The Knees?

Hello, i have hit my knee fairly hard on a coffee table and then i hit in on my way up the stairs, so now in two places it is swollen. I didn't feel any pain at first but now i feel sharp stinging, tingling and burning at times and the nerves in my knee keep moving around. My knee is swelling fairly large and my foot has gone cold. Do you have any advice for me?
