What Is The Remedy For The Pain In The Hip After An Injury?

My husband has Parkinson s and fell this morning in bathroom hitting a spot on the left side just above the hip. It hurts badly and I see a bruise starting. How can I help him. It does not hurt when sitting in a lift chair but when walking, the pain comes in spurts. Thank you so much!
