What Is The Remedy For The Swelling In The Wrist Under The Watch Band?

I left my watch on for a long period of time and it caused a bulge in my wrist under the watch band. I have had it for about 2 years now. Usually it causes not pain, but sometimes it has an aching pain to it. It has not grown or gotten any smaller, what should I do about it?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having pressure urticaria.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid wearing ill-fitting footwear and clothes.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
