What Is The Requirement Of Glucose Tolerance Test When Diagnosed With Acromegaly?
Hi, I am wondering what levels of igf1 are considered normal, I had a gh pituitary macroadenoma removed, my levels after surgery were 48 and are now at 36. Why does my surgeon want to do glucose tolerance test when i have been diagnosed with acromegaly.

Because it gives us a clue if there is another tumor or not...if it still high, it indicates the return of the tumor.
