What Is The Right Dosage Of Medicines Post Abortion?
hi, i had an abortion done on march 25 (the day i found i was pregnant). i went to my follow up appt on april 10 and the nurse practitioner told me the fetus was still there but was not growning. so they gave me abortion pill again. that was like 2 weeks ago. so on the 23rd of april i checked my hcg and it was 45682 (i work as a medical assistant) my co worker stated that was too high for me after the abortion pill. is that true ?
Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. Yes, the B HCG is too high if the pills worked. Of course,B HCG stays in your system for a long time after medical abortion pills are taken. THe best and most reliable way to document a complete abortion is to go for a pelvic transvaginal ultrasound scan, that shows if the uterus is empty and there are no more products inside. Please get that done. IF two doses of medical abortion pills have not worked, you would require a surgical evacuation. All the best Take care
