What Is The Ringing In My Ear?

I smoked weed for 4 years and never had this than go put on probation and quit smoking it n switched to the stupid synthetic weed "legal" and I heard a ringing in my ear and than had a bad trip and I honestly about died I quit that dumb stuff n switched back to natural and now every time I get high I hear a ringing in my ear but don't have the bad trip why is this?
