What Is The Sharp Pain In The Inner Leg Followed By A Huge Bruise?

I was doing a cartwheel and experienced sharp pain going down the inner part of my left leg, did another with a handspring a week later, noticed sharp pain when doing the cartwheel. Noticed masssive bruise on inner thigh (6 x4) a week later when pain did not subside...any thoughts, broken vein?
