What Is The Side Effect Of Cytology?

Hi doctor,
When I knew tat I was conceived,nd it was 5wks nd 3days,i decided to terminate nd doc inserted cytolog ,than onwards I got my periods.later on fifth day of my period I underwent a scan,wich showd some retaind in cervix.so shagain doc gave me 3 cytolog,,nd nw its stil bleeding lightly,so shud I wait for 15days?plz do sugest

The very fact that on ultrasound there was no pregnancy sac seen in the uterus is reassuring. Some times some pregnancy products may get retained as it has happened in your case. Your doctor has rightly repeated the cytolog.

Since you have light bleeding, there is no reason to worry. Wait for 15 days and go for check up. By then in all probability the abortion process will be complete. Yet it is necessary to confirm by ultrasound that the abortion process is complete.
