What Is The Significance Of Shortening Of The PR Interval ?

I am an RN working as a monitor tech. I understand rhythms reasonably well. I have 49 years e

xperience in critical care and other areas. My question is; What is the significance of shortening of the PR interval. I know Wenckebach is lengthening of PRI and shortening of R to R's. Can you help me?

hello,
I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
Short PR interval means there is some aberrant pathway between atira and Conduction system of ventricles, which leads to rapid transmission of current from atria to ventricle. One such example is WPW syndrome.
I hope i have answered your question to your satisfaction,
My best wishes
Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
