Hi Madam, My wife NT scan report at 12 weeks CRL - 55 MM NT - 1.28MM BPD - 16MM HC - 55.8MM AC - 56 MM FL - 6 MM I am very much worried about HC & BPD values,please let me know your comments on these values. Regards, Suresh

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to the available charts the BPD, HC are somewhat low for this gestational age.
Reference:http://www.baby2see.com/medical/charts.html
But this may not always indicate abnormality.
There will be some range of normal values for every parameter.
And that can little bit differ from machine to machine.
And also in first trimester around one week disparity may be seen between the gestational age by last menstrual period and the gestational age by ultrasound.
Sometimes because of the movements of the baby it may become difficult to measure the exact value of parameters.
So, better repeat the ultrasound after two to three weeks.
This can help in ruling out the abnormal parameters.
