What Is The Solution For Constant Lump Sensation In The Throat?

Hi

I'm a 29 year old male who for the last month I have experienced a constant lump sensation in my thraot particularly after eating as well as a lot for burping after I eat though I don't feel much acidity in my throat, I've been told from my doctor that it is reflux/gerd and have since adjusted my diet to incorporate more vegetables, thoroughly chewing my food slowly, and taking a digestive enzyme with most meals. It has been a week since I've made these adjustments and I've yet to see these symtoms subside or even improve at all. I'm beggining to have anxiety when it's time for me to eat. I don't really want to take a presrciption or other meds for the symptoms. What else would you suggest I try?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms all the symptoms indicates Acid reflux and if there is no improvement with dietary adjustments and taking enzymes then intake of prescription drugs and including more remedies that can be done at home is needed..

For acid reflux you can take antacids like Milk of Magnesia half an hour before the meals.
You should take Proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole.
Drink plenty of cold water as it helps in dilution of acid.
Take more of probiotics like Yoghurt.
Take small meals every 3 to 3 hours.
Avoid spicy and heavy meals.
Eat atleast 2 hours before sleeping.
Always take a short walk after meals.
While sleeping keep your head at a higher position then legs.
Avoid stress and relax as stress can further deteriorate the condition..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
