What Is The Solution For Irregular Periods And PCOD Problem?

Hello doctor,
I have irregular periods. And also I have PCOD problem. Last two months I went to gym. I got periods regularly. Last I didn't went. This I didn't get periods. And also I taken 4 meperate tablet for two weeks before. Still now I didn't get my periods. Help me to know the reason.

Hi,
It is obvious that your hormonal imbalance consequent to the PCOD is causing this delay in the cycles. Exercise and weight management help many people to attain regular cycles and this is what you observed in your case. Use of progesterone tablets should be as a course if the uterus is to be primed before a proper period can be induced. Just a few tablets do not help. In the current scenario, I would suggest a proper work up including a physical exam by a specialist, hormonal assay, trans-vaginal sonogram, glucose tolerance tests and so on for a proper appraisal and further management.
