What Is The Solution For Neurofibroma In The Hands?

Hi,

I am 26 years old, male, Height- 5'11'', wt-76 Kgs, from India.
I have galands in my hands and they are growing in size by the time.
Earlier I have visited AIIMS Delhi and doctor told me that this disease is called as Nerufibroma and there is no treatment for this.
I am a bit worried now as my glands are increasing rapidly in size?
Please suggest me that what should I do now?

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello dear,

Thank you for your contact to health care magic.

I read and understand your concern.

I am Dr Arun Tank answering your concern.

Yes, the doctor at AIIMS is right there is no cure for generalised neurofibromatosis or von Recklinghausen's disease.

You can take the symptomatic surgery at part which are not suitable like on face, head which is not suitable for combing hair etc.

But it is not possible to do surgery on every place. Because it can creates many surgical complication.

Its the very weird thing but fact is there is no treatment in medical science.

I will be happy to answer your further concern on bit.ly/DrArun.

Thank you,
Dr Arun Tank
