What Is The Solution For Painful And Warm Splotches In Thumb And Arms?
I have eczema on my right thumb (usually caused when I am stressed and I ve had it before). I woke up with red splotches (flat not raised or itchy) going up from my thumb to about the middle of my arm. It is painful to the touch and a little warm but it is not itchy or swollen. Just red flat blotches.

There is a possibility of cellulitis or secondary bacterial infection in the eczema, so consult the dermatologist without wasting the time. He after thorough examination and investigations, may render perfect treatment including antibiotics, antihistaminics, anti-inflammatory drugs. Apply antibiotic cream. Avoid contact with soap. Keep the arm elevated.
