What Is The Solution For Pitting Edema Causing Swelling, Pain And Itching?

Hi doctor, I have pitting edema of my legs and it seems to be getting worse, I can deal with the swelling but they are also very painful and heavy and super itchy, I have renal acidosis and im currently taking sodium bi carb and potassium pills (slow k). My nephrologist knows about mg swelling and as I suffer from low potassium too I cannot be prescribed a diuretic. Its at yhe stage where i can barely bend my legs at the knee as the swelling is so bad. There is also a shine/sheen off my legs. I feel like my doctors cant do anything for me as iv complained so often about this and they dont seem to worried. Id appreciate your thoughts on this doctor. Thank you for taking the time to read this. lisa 35, Galway, Ireland
