What Is The Sore Red Patch Of Skin Near The Back Of My Mouth?

Hi, I have had a little bit of a sore throat with some drainage, but I have noticed a red patch of skin near the back of my mouth, on the inside of my cheek. I use smokeless tobacco and am in the process of quiting. The red patch of skin has been there about two weeks.
