What Is The Survival Rate And Potential Outcome With Poorly Differentiated Renal Adenocarcinoma And A Growing Cyst?
My father has been diagnosed with poorly differentiated renal adenocarcinoma. He has been in severe pain over the last 8 month with still no treatment plan in place. He has a bosnial 3/4 on left kidney 17cm and his liver is starting to get infected. Within 3 weeks the cyst has grown by 4/5cm. Doctors keep reffering him to one spealist then another. We all are worried. What would be the outcome if he does get treatment soon? What is the survival rate of this kind of diagnosis? Recently referred to a cancer centre on two week wait, how can i get doctors or consultants to explain exactly what is happening and what theyre planning. My father is anxious as no one has explained what is going on. Can any one help? I can forward CT report and recent refferal letter. Please...thank you
The survival depends upon the stage of the disease. If it is early stage 1 or 2, survival is excellent with surgery. Stage 3, survival is little poor. At stage 4, we have the option of immunotherapy and targeted therapy but he disease cannot be cured.
