What Is The Throbbing Pain In The Femoral Artery?

I have a throbbing around my femoral artery - started about 4 months ago - I have been off the pill experiencing amenorrhea for about the same amount of time. I have done a few home pregnancy tests – both were negative. I am 27, 5'9, 145lbs, other than allergies, a healthy medical history.

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
You should do Doppler ultrasound to see if there is some artery disorder such as aneurism or arteriovenous malformation. In most cases such throbbing may be a result of arterial hypertension or there is just strong pulsations. and it doesnt need to mean anything pathologic. But ultrasound is recommended to rule out issues that I ve mentioned above.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
