What Is The Treatment For A Cut On The Eye?

Hello, I end up with a "cut" on the surface of my right eye. It has been like that for a while. I started on antibio's and its been two days with it. It seems to be no improvement at all. What's next? Keep on with the ointment? Patch it at night for healing? I have a dry eye syndrome but this is a "indentation with sharp edges" according to the doctor

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that you had a injury with cut on the white part of the eye. This indicates laceration of conjunctiva or sclera, the white part of the eye.
If it is involving superficial conjunctiva and small it can be treated with medical line of treatment by antibiotics. However a large one or that involving the deeper sclera requires surgical closure.
Hence I advice you to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
