What Is The Treatment For A Large Bruise In The Shin?

I fell down onto some bricks last Friday, I have a large bruise on my shin below the knee, I am also numb on the upper part of my shin besides the bruise and feel extreme pain when any pressure is applied. Though I can walk without pain. What does the numbness mean? And is it just a bruised bone or something?

The numbness is from a bruised nerve and that should resolve along with the bruise, but if you're having that much pain you should have a doctor take a look and I would get some x-rays to check for a possible fracture
