What Is The Treatment For A Lump In The Neck?
hi i have had a lump on the right side of my neck, where you can feel your heartbeat, for about three years now, and have been to several different ENT doctors, including the MAYO clinic. It is extremely painful and shrinks and grows depending on certain things such as when i take my adderall it hurts it more and also any kind of smoke makes it inflammed. i have had a cat scan and mri done to the area but it showed nothing expect that my lymph node was slightly swollen. None of the ENT doctors have been able to find anything wrong, but after doing research on my own I am beginning to think that this could be a sign that something is wrong with my heart? I have never had a chest xray done but i think that is the next thing i should have done. I am starting to get very worried that something is seriously wrong because the left gland where you can feel the heartbeat is also now swollen.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have enlarged cervical lymphnode. It can be due to reactive hyperplasia, tuberculosis or lymphoma. Ct scan, MRI will not help. It has nothing to do with your heart. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump.
It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
